school

Dear Parents and Parishioners,

My name is Dan Smith and I am honored to be the new principal at Immaculate Heart of Mary School. I have been an educator for the past 18 years at the secondary level; four of those years at Subiaco Academy as a teacher, coach, and a residential dean.' For the last 14 years, I have taught and coached at Catholic High School in Little Rock. I have a Bachelors degree in Science and Mathematics and am currently working on my master's degree.

DAN SMITH

As a Catholic school, it is our responsibility to expose and exemplify our faith. My primary educational objective at Immaculate Heart of Mary School is to prepare our children for the high school setting. To best obtain this objective, it is my belief and educational philosophy to instill a mastery of the fundamentals of reading, writing and arithmetic - fundamentals first and advanced studies second. I have a strong belief that this is attainable through structure and discipline. Interaction between community, church and school is an integral part of achieving our mission.

We have a wonderful parish and school community here in Marche. I will always work to the best of my ability to maintain an environment that exemplifies a Catholic education. I am a small part in the big picture of Immaculate Heart of Mary School and with your support we can make our little heaven on the hill a place where these qualities exist.

Sincerely,

Dan Smith
